Fishing is allowed in most of the lakes of the National Parks.  There are varying regulations; some parks require a fishing license while others do not.  All Parks have fishing guidelines that you can obtain at the Visitor’s Centers and should be reviewed before embarking on a fishing expedition and followed closely to protect the Parks and the Parks' habitat.

 

Snowshoeing
Many of the National Parks do permit snowshoeing on marked trails in the winter.  You may choose to venture out on your own or look into

a guided Park Ranger tour offered by the National Park Service.  Usually on weekends when there is sufficient snowfall.

Biking Trails

Although bikers are rarely allowed to ride off-trail or on foot paths in the national parks, it’s still possible to find great biking trails and a great way to see what you miss from inside a car.
